General Terms & Conditions

These general terms and conditions apply to all quotes, agreements and services of Sudesh Roman, acting as an independent entertainment artist (hereinafter: “Artist”).

Article 1, Definitions

  • Artist: Sudesh Roman, independent illusionist, mentalist and speaker.
  • Client: the natural or legal person entering into an agreement with the Artist.
  • Event: the planned performance, show or workshop for which the Artist is booked.
  • Agreement: the booking confirmed via quote, email or written confirmation.

Article 2, Quotes

All quotes are non-binding and valid for 14 days from the date stated, unless otherwise indicated. An agreement is formed when the Client accepts the quote in writing or by email and any requested deposit has been received.

Article 3, Payment

A deposit of 30% of the total amount is due upon booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the event date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

In the event of late payment, the Artist reserves the right to cancel the agreement without refunding the deposit.

Article 4, Cancellation by the Client

Cancellation must be confirmed in writing or by email. The following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 60 days before the event: 30% of the total price (deposit)
  • 30 to 60 days before the event: 50% of the total price
  • Less than 30 days before the event: 100% of the total price

Article 5, Cancellation by the Artist

In the event of force majeure (see Article 7) or illness preventing the performance, the Artist will make every effort to propose a suitable replacement. If no replacement is possible, the deposit already paid will be fully refunded. Further compensation is excluded.

Article 6, Client obligations

The Client shall ensure:

  • A safe and suitable performance environment in accordance with the technical rider
  • Timely access to the venue for setup (minimum 60 minutes before start)
  • Adequate lighting and power supply where required
  • A meal and non-alcoholic beverages for performances exceeding 4 hours

Article 7, Force majeure

Force majeure means any circumstance beyond the Artist's control that temporarily or permanently prevents fulfilment of the agreement. This includes illness, bereavement, strikes, natural disasters or government measures.

Article 8, Liability

The Artist's liability is limited to the invoice amount of the relevant agreement. The Artist is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage or loss of profit.

Article 9, Intellectual property & publicity

All shows, scripts and materials performed or created by the Artist are the intellectual property of the Artist. Photo and video recordings during the performance are permitted for private use. Prior written consent is required for commercial use. The Artist may mention the event as a reference and use any photos or videos unless the Client refuses this in writing.

Article 10, Governing law & disputes

All agreements are governed by Belgian law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the district of the Artist's place of residence, unless mandatory law designates another court.
