What exactly is close-up magic?
Close-up (also called walk-around or table magic) is the most intimate form of magic. Sudesh moves from table to table performing small, powerful routines with cards, coins, rings and everyday objects. No stage, no microphone, no distance: just you and the impossible inches away.
Why does it work so well at events?
Close-up magic breaks the ice like nothing else. Strangers naturally start talking about what they just saw, the atmosphere visibly lifts and conversation flows. It's the way to transform a reception, drinks or dinner from 'pleasant' into 'unforgettable'.
How does a session work?
Sudesh arrives 30 minutes early to coordinate with the organisers. During the event he mingles with guests in sessions of 1 to 4 hours. Each group receives 5-10 minutes of personal attention. In one evening he effortlessly reaches 60 to 150 people.

From 10 to 200+ guests. For larger groups we work with 1-2 hour sessions per zone or moment.
Do we need a stage or special setup?
No. Sudesh works entirely at table height, with no stage or sound system. A standing reception works just as well as a seated dinner.
Can we combine close-up with a stage show?
Yes. In fact, that's the most popular combination: close-up during the reception, followed by a central stage show after dinner.
