Not every magical place is a centuries-old castle or a secret theatre. Sometimes a special tradition simply arises on an ordinary Monday evening. That is exactly the idea behind JAMM — Just Another Magic Monday — at the Peeriscoop theatre in Gorinchem: an evening full of magic, by and for magicians from the Netherlands and Belgium.

JAMM is an initiative by a group of magicians with a deep love for the craft. The goal is simple but beautiful: to experience and share magic together, in a convivial and inspiring atmosphere.
The evening arose as a new way to fill the first Monday of the month, after the well-known Magic Art Center had disappeared. JAMM thus fills a gap in the Dutch magic calendar.

Its permanent home is the cosy Peeriscoop theatre in Gorinchem. Every first Monday of the month, enthusiasts gather there for an evening full of performances, meeting and exchange.
The very first edition was an immediate success: around 125 visitors from the Netherlands and Belgium turned up, many with a ticket costing just eleven euros — and that without the programme being announced in advance. Pure faith in the magic.

A tradition carried by the magicians themselves
What is special about JAMM is that its success rests entirely in the hands of the community. The organisers emphasise that the future lies with the magicians themselves: each edition needs a minimum number of paying visitors to keep going.
That makes JAMM more than a performance — it is a living meeting place where the Dutch and Belgian magic worlds meet, inspire and strengthen one another every month.

Current dates, programmes and ticket sales run via the Dutch Magic Union (NMU) and JAMM's social media channels, including Instagram (@magicmondayjamm). Because the evenings are popular, it is wise to secure tickets well in advance.
