An actor with a familiar face
As an actor, Nooyen is best known for his role as Barteljaap Gustaaf Balneger in the comedy series Rundfunk. He has also appeared in various commercials.
His acting background gives his performances a strongly theatrical character, in which character and narrative are just as important as the illusion itself.
Illusionist on tour
As an illusionist, Nooyen took part in the television programme De nieuwe Uri Geller, in which up-and-coming mentalism and illusion talent presented itself to a broad audience.
With his own theatre shows he tours the country, bringing together his acting and illusion talent into full-length performances.
Jochem Nooyen shows how acting and illusion reinforce each other into captivating theatre. That same blend of performance, story and wonder is also central to the work of Sudesh Roman.
