From psychology to television
Arnst studied psychology at KU Leuven, but quit in his final year to make his own television programme.
In 2013 he took part in the second season of Belgium's Got Talent, where he reached the semi-final. After that he was offered his own television programme.
The programme Nicholas
From February 2015 to January 2020, Arnst presented the VTM programme Nicholas, named after him, in which he amazed passers-by in the street and well-known Flemish figures with his street magic.
In 2017 he also presented the programme De Uitverkorenen.
Theatre shows
Arnst's first theatre show, Echt, was a large-scale tour of 120 shows in which audiences could see his most popular TV tricks 'live' for the first time. In 2022 came In alle eerlijkheid, a show that revolves around one specific trick that he also explains along the way.
On 17 May 2023 he presented Als niets zeker is, and in November 2025 he toured with his programme FAKE. Together with Luc Apers he wrote the book 'Nicholas – geheimen van een goochelaar' (2017).
Nicholas Arnst proved that magic in the street and on stage can amaze an entire country. You will recognise that same direct, disarming way of astonishing people in the work of Sudesh Roman.
